PRESS RELEASE: Fall, 2016
Dr. Ole Peloso retires from the Vein Center of New Mexico
After decades of helping patients in Albuquerque live healthier lives, I have retired from practicing at the Vein Center of New Mexico. Although my departure is bittersweet for me personally, I find great comfort in knowing that I have passed the baton into the caring hands of Dr Michael Harding.
You may know Dr. Harding from his long and distinguished cardiology practice at Presbyterian Heart Group, where he focused on interventional and peripheral procedures. Before practicing at Presbyterian, Dr Harding earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency program in Internal Medicine. He went on to Duke University for a Fellowship in Cardiology, and from there did an Interventional Fellowship at Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, Canada, where he became an expert in coronary stents two years before the FDA released the device in the United States. In 1992, Dr Harding and his family moved to Albuquerque, where he has been a leader and innovator in the cardiology community.
In February 2016, Dr. Harding joined me as a partner at VCNM. Following my retirement earlier this Fall, he became the medical director of VCNM. As Dr. Harding’s credentials show, I am confident that you are in excellent hands. You can rely on Dr. Harding’s commitment to excellence and innovation, along with that of the many familiar staff members who served patients under my care.
Please know that your medical records will continue to be on file at VCNM. If you choose to continue at VCNM under Dr. Harding’s care, you will be asked to sign an authorization form the next time you are in the office. If you choose to find another physician for your phlebology needs, I suggest you contact your health plan and request a list of physicians in your plan’s network. We will need your authorization before we can transfer copies to your new physician. You will be charged a reasonable fee for the file transfer.
I wish you the best of health and happiness in the future. Although I am sorry to say goodbye, I am happy to say hello to the new leader of VCNM. Under Dr. Harding’s leadership, the Vein Center of New Mexico will continue to be the preeminent phlebology practice in nm.
Best in health,
Dr. Ole Peloso
